What is personal information and why do we collect it?

We collect this information in a number of ways, including through enquiries and bookings made via our website, by email, and through your participation in our training, eLearning, and assessment tools (such as the Neuroinclusion Readiness Snapshot and Neuroinclusion Calculator). Where an organisation engages us to deliver training or consulting to its staff, we may also receive your information from that organisation (for example, from an HR or People & Culture team enrolling you in a session). We don’t guarantee the privacy practices of external websites or platforms we link to or use.

We collect your personal information for the primary purpose of providing our workplace neuroinclusion consulting, training and assessment services, and communicating with you about your booking, enrolment or enquiry. We may also use it for secondary purposes closely related to these, in circumstances where you’d reasonably expect such use.

Where appropriate and possible, we’ll explain why we’re collecting your information and how we plan to use it at the time we collect it.

Sensitive information

Sensitive information is defined under the Privacy Act to include information or an opinion about things such as an individual’s racial or ethnic origin, political opinions, religious beliefs, membership of a professional or trade association, criminal record, or health information.

Given the nature of our services, individuals may choose to disclose their neurodivergent status, diagnosis, or other health-related information as part of our assessments, training sessions or eLearning content — for example, where this is relevant to a discussion, self-reflection exercise, or feedback you provide. We only collect this kind of information where you have voluntarily shared it with us.

Sensitive information will be used by us only:

• For the primary purpose for which it was collected
• For a secondary purpose that is directly related to the primary purpose
• With your consent, or where required or authorised by law

Third parties

Where reasonable and practicable, we collect your personal information directly from you. In some circumstances, however, we may be provided with your information by a third party — for example, by the client organisation that has engaged us to deliver training or consulting to its staff. Where this happens, we will take reasonable steps to ensure you are made aware that we hold your information.

Disclosure of personal information

Your personal information may be disclosed in a number of circumstances, including:

• Where you consent to us disclosing it to a third party
• To the booking and client relationship management platform we use to manage enquiries and bookings, and to the payment processor used to manage eLearning enrolments and payments
• Where required or authorised by law

Security of personal information

Your personal information is stored in a manner that reasonably protects it from misuse and loss, and from unauthorised access, modification or disclosure.

When your personal information is no longer needed for the purpose it was collected, we will take reasonable steps to destroy or permanently de-identify it. Client, enquiry and assessment records may be retained for a minimum of 7 years for accounting and business purposes.
